Behind the Scenes of these cards: Baby Boomer, Don't Look Now, Lost Your Marbles?, No Peeking, Old-Timer, Party Pooper, Racking Up Gifts, Spring Chicken, Stopping Traffic
|
Spring Chicken
When I was a kid my Dad
made this bird sculpture
from my Grandpa's scrap
iron.
He had to move it with a
backhoe so I could take
pictures of it for this card.
Baby Boomer
We're pretty sure our daughter will sue us
because of this some day.
Stopping Traffic
My Dad had the blue car
restored for Lexy. (It was
mine when I was little.)
The other two cars are
part of a little kiddie ride
at a park in Enid, OK.
Old-Timer
This one didn't involve much computer magic.
I actually took the picture like this in Lexy's doll house
after finding the right size chair at an Antique Mini-Mall.
Lost Your Marbles?
We found these lost marbles
next to the mountain of left socks!
Don't Look Now
At 15 months old, this is the face
Lexy would make when we told
her to "smile for the camera!"
Racking Up Gifts
Ty's original idea for this card was to have
a pinata hanging from a tree with a stick just
about to hit it - you know where - racking the
pinata. My idea is more appropriate, but
maybe people would have liked the pinata
getting racked better.
(No pinatas were harmed during the taking of this picture.)
Party Pooper
Of course this isn't real poop -
what kind of sick-o do you think I am?
No Peeking
For Lexy's first two years
I took special pictures of her
every single month, and this
was one of her 8-month
pictures. The washtub was
actually filled with about 30 little
ducks and all she wanted to do
was eat them!
