Behind the Scenes

Beach Baby

Picture
At 5 months old, Lexy's fat rolls had fat rolls.

Don't Look Now

Picture
At 15 months old, this is the face Lexy would make when we told her to "smile for the camera!"

Picture

Magic Hat

Picture
This one took some magic!
In the original picture she was chewing on a chair that was my Mom's when she was little. Her teeth are actually her bottom teeth from another picture.

No Peeking

Picture
For Lexy's first two years I took special pictures of her every single month, and this was one of her 8-month pictures. The washtub was actually filled with about 30 little ducks and all she wanted to do
was eat them!

Picky

This was the easiest card we made. It isn't difficult to get a 2-year-old to pick her nose. Getting her to stop is the trick!

Pot of Gold

For this one, I bought a doll-house bathroom, covered the toilet in gold glitter, pulled a clover patch from my Grandma's house, then took this picture at Meadowlake Park in Enid, OK. The only thing that wasn't really there is the rainbow.
Picture

Shackin' Up

This was taken of an old shack on the top of a hill along I-35 in Guthrie, OK. The sign actually said "KEEP OUT" before my many, many hours on the computer.

You can give this card to say "Happy Shackiversary!"
Picture

Shotgun Wedding

This was actually one toy shotgun I purchased on eBay.
I made the little tie, found little tiny flowers and a Barbie wedding veil. The background was a picture of the arch where we got married at Mayfield Park in Austin, TX.

Thank goodness ours wasn't really a shotgun wedding -
but our friends did get
loaded and ran around yelling half naked in the rain that night.

Spring Chicken

Picture
When I was a kid my Dad made this bird sculpture from my Grandpa's scrap iron.

He had to move it with a backhoe so I could take pictures of it for this card.

Stopping Traffic

Picture
My Dad had the blue car restored for Lexy. (It was mine when I was little.)

The other two cars are part of a little kiddie ride at a park in Enid, OK.

The Stinker

Picture
Ty has had this idea for years, not knowing we'd make it for a greeting card. I made the toilet out of play-doh and Lexy loves to make us laugh by doing "the stinker pose."
What a little stinker!

You Crack Me Up

Picture
Inspired by the plumbers of America, this was taken during the construction of my Mom & Stad's (Step-Dad's) house.

Lexy helps with everything, in her own way.
